The Studio
Rashad Al-Karooni Studio is a multidisciplinary creative practice founded in London by Rashad Al-Karooni — an architect, artist, and designer working at the intersection of the built environment and visual culture.
Originally from Leeds and trained at the University of Liverpool (BA Architecture) and the University of Westminster (MArch Parts II & III), Rashad established the studio six years ago with a founding belief that architecture and image-making are not separate disciplines — they are two expressions of the same spatial and conceptual intelligence.
The studio's visual work was first brought to wider attention when Nick Knight CBE — founder of SHOWstudio — discovered Rashad's artwork through Instagram, initiating a series of collaborations that have since extended across luxury, fashion, and publishing at an international level.
Curious, imaginative, and excited by new ideas — every project begins with a question rather than an answer.
The studio brings a distinctly personal approach to each commission — drawing on hand-drawing, spatial thinking, and emerging technology in equal measure. Whether designing a residential extension in north London or producing artwork for a luxury brand, the methodology remains consistent: understand deeply, imagine freely, execute with precision.
This fluency across disciplines is not incidental. Architecture informs how Rashad composes an image. Artistic practice informs how he conceives a space. The work exists in the space between — and that tension is where the studio finds its most distinctive voice.
